THE 2023 FUTURITY SEASON BEGINS!
We are excited to start our futurity season actually showing our futurity-winner-producing-foundation cow, Eternal Blossom! She is entered in the "Old Lady Class" at the ITTLA Heifer Futurity for her first futurity of her own after producing 3 multiple-winning and high point earning daughters and a multiple-winning and high point earning granddaughter! We are so excited to bring her for all to see and see how she holds up in the show ring herself!

WE ARE HEADED TO THE BLUEGRASS!
After a fun and successful weekend in Tulsa, OK, we are headed to Lexington, KY to the Bluegrass Futurity! We will be showing Marigold and Guns N' Roses but we will also be showing our new heifer, LK Chasing Amy, who we bought from Kelly Kerridge of Lazy K Longhorns! We are so excited about this little heifer and no matter how she does, we are so thrilled to be bringing her home with us!
It's finally time to let the cat...er... the cow out of the bag!!! We will also be picking up our new partnership bull while we are in Lexington. This bull is one of the biggest things we have ever done for our little farm! Dave Hovingh was kind enough to allow us to partner on this HUGE genetic package of a young bull and we are SO EXCITED to watch this guy grow up and help take our program to the next level!
His name is SDR Lionheart.
His mother is SDR Lionberry who is a daughter of the great producer, Lionheart BRR 1/14 who is gone too soon but has definitely turned some heads with his amazing daughters! Lionheart BRR 1/14 is a son of the famous Jamakizm's Alphie!! Lionberry measured 85" TTT on her 3rd birthday and she was 91" TTT by 42 months- what a cow! She is consigned to the Hudson Valentine FT Worth Sale so this is the only living calf that Dave is retaining prior to selling her!
His sire is, none other, than the great Cowboy Catchit Chex- also powerful genetics that are no more. Catchit is responsible for producing some of the most beautiful females out there today!
There are more than just high hopes for this guy! You can bet, you'll be seeing him at a futurity or two in the coming months!
